The following statements summarize our core convictions as a church. Each paragraph flows from our confidence in God’s Word and our desire to be faithful to Scripture.
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inerrant, verbally inspired Word of God.
Scripture is completely sufficient and is our only infallible and authoritative rule
for faith and practice.
Refs: Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 30:5a; II Timothy 3:16–17; II Peter 1:19–21
We believe in one true and living God—sovereign, personal, infinite, and perfect in holiness,
love, wisdom, and power. He is Creator and Upholder of all, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit:
three distinct Persons, one divine Being.
Refs: Genesis 1:1; Exodus 15:11; Psalm 83:18; Psalm 139:7–9; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; John 15:26
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man through the virgin birth,
remaining fully God and fully man. He lived sinlessly, died as the perfect Lamb of God in
our place, bearing the wrath our sins deserved, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended as
our great High Priest and Advocate.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, active in creation, revelation,
and redemption. He convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and anoints believers,
and empowers, guides, teaches, sanctifies, and fills those who daily surrender to Him.

We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice. Though created in God’s image,
humanity fell through disobedience and is now alienated from God, under His righteous wrath,
and completely unable to save themselves.
Refs: Genesis 1:27; Genesis 3:6; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12, 19; Galatians 3:11
We believe salvation is the free gift of God, received only through personal faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ—not by works or human merit. In Christ believers receive eternal life, perfect
righteousness, adoption, deliverance from condemnation, and every spiritual resource needed for
life and godliness.
Refs: Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5; John 1:12; John 3:14; John 10:28–29; Romans 8:1; Philippians 1:6
We believe good works and holy living are not the basis of salvation, but the evidence and fruit
of it. As believers, we are called to obey Christ, seek the things above, walk as He walked,
and bear the gospel to a lost world.
Refs: Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12:1–2; Philippians 2:16
We believe Satan was originally created holy but fell through pride and rebellion. Now utterly
depraved, he opposes God and His people, yet his power is limited by God’s sovereign will.
He was decisively judged at the cross, and his final doom is certain.
Refs: Isaiah 14:12–15; Ephesians 6:12; I Peter 5:8; I John 3:8; Revelation 12:9–11; Revelation 20:10
We believe in the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ for His redeemed people and His
coming in glory to judge the rebellious and establish His kingdom.
Refs: John 14:1–3; I Corinthians 15:51–52; Philippians 3:20; I Thessalonians 1:10; I Thessalonians 4:13–18; Titus 2:11–14; II Thessalonians 2:7–10; Matthew 24:29–31; Zechariah 14:4–11
We believe in the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the eternal conscious punishment
of the lost.
Refs: John 1:5; Jude 24; Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:42–48; Revelation 20:11–15
We believe Christ is our Great High Priest, and through Him every born-again believer has direct
access to God. Each Christian has both the right and responsibility to study and interpret Scripture,
guided by the Holy Spirit.
Refs: John 14:6; Hebrews 4:16; II Timothy 2:15; I Peter 2:1, 5, 9
We believe Jesus Christ alone is Head of the Body, the Church. All true believers are baptized
by the Spirit into this one body and should identify with a local congregation.
Refs: I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22–23; Ephesians 4:11–15; Galatians 1:22
We believe a Christian church is a local assembly of born-again, baptized believers, united to
practice New Testament ordinances, gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and witness,
and to carry out the Great Commission.
Refs: Acts 2:41–42; I Corinthians 11:2; Matthew 28:19–20
We believe each local church is independent and self-governing under Christ, free from external
ecclesiastical control, cooperating with other churches as led by the Spirit and accountable
directly to God.
Refs: Matthew 18:17; Acts 6:1–5; Acts 13:1–3; Acts 15:22–23
We believe Christ gave two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism by immersion is a public testimony of faith in Christ, portraying His death, burial,
and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is an ongoing memorial of His broken body and shed blood.
Refs: Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:38–39; Matthew 26:26–30; I Corinthians 11:23–34
We believe marriage is the biblical union of one man and one woman. Men and women are created
in God’s image, and gender is His good gift. Marriage reflects Christ’s relationship with the
church and exists for God’s glory.
